This is the 1st release by Big Brother & The Holding Company after forming in 1965, and the 1st featuring their Texas lead singer, Janis Joplin!

1968 original 2nd press Philips Records LP pressing #PHS 600-264, textured / embossed cover VG++ (tiny bb-hole at center, barely see it, interestenly, the record has NO hole, so cover & record were apparently "switched out" sometime before I bought it used), NO seam or spine splits, NO ring-wear, vinyl VG(+), side 1 has a couple of scratches that click & pop, side 2 has some scuffs that also click & pop, plays excellent with minimal background. 2nd press with the Abe "Voco" Kesh production credit on back cover. San Francisco, California (USA) power trio band that partially invented "Heavy Metal".

1968 original 1st press Columbia Records LP #KCS 9700, Gatefold cover M-, NO seam or spine splits, NO cut-out markings, NO ring-wear, "360 Sound" stereo labels vinyl M-, NO scratches, plays excellent with NO surface noise. Recorded live at Bill Graham's Fillmore Auditorium (later to become Fillmore West!) After this album, lead singer Janis Joplin branched out with her own Kozmic Blues Band! Art by R. Crumb!
