Yessir, this is about as juicy as a plateful of BBQ ribs! Born in 1925, he learned to play guitar & harmonica around 1940, moving to Chicago in 1943. After WWII, he worked at a meat packing plant in Gary, Indiana. He continued playing guitar & harmonica, later recording 1st for Vee-Jay Records in 1953.

The 6 tracks by Lee Dorsey, Earl King & Robert Parker were re-recorded in the studio on September 11 & 26, 1976 due to electronic equipment failure during the festival, but the introductions & in-between talking, shouting by the artists are included. This album showcases the R&B spectrum of the Festival.
